This artwork is by Vanessa Sahlman. She creates her pieces in a graphic style, drawing inspiration from the landscape around her. Using a fine pen and ink, she builds stylised images that leave room for the viewer's own interpretation. She works mostly in black and white.

Vanessa Sahlman is a Swedish artist who grew up in northern Sweden. As a child, she was fascinated by the hard forms and materials of her father's work as a car painter and sheet metal craftsman, while her mother's administrative work shaped her interest in structure and systematics. These early impressions live on in her artistic expression.
